Translating Aortic Stenosis Guidelines Into Practice: Evidence-Based Decisions for the Heart Team

Overview

Recent updates to the ESC Valvular Heart Disease (VHD) Guidelines mark an important evolution in the management of aortic stenosis (AS), reflecting advances in transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) and growing evidence across diverse patient subgroups. For the multidisciplinary heart team, the challenge lies in translating these recommendations into everyday clinical practice through informed, patient-centred decision-making.

This CME-accredited educational programme provides a concise, evidence-based update on contemporary aortic stenosis management. Through a series of focused presentations and expert-led discussions, faculty will review the latest guideline recommendations, key clinical trial data and their implications for practice. Case-based learning will reinforce practical approaches to patient selection, referral and lifetime management.

Support Statement

This Independent Medical Education programme is supported by an unrestricted educational grant from Medtronic.
